Where I stayed
Taormina was called the ultimate tourist stop so naturally we were turned off. However it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I will say no more and only post pictures. I've said breath taking a lot in this but my breath was truly stolen by the view.
Had a great beach day with three Germans we met at the hostel and are now staying in a great place that overlooks the ocean.
Update: god I love cannolis
Something I learned about Sicily. Where you get something is never where you pay for it. It's never close to where you pay for it. You buy a bus ticket two blocks from the bus station, a train ticket in a convince store no where near the train. If you buy a sandwich you give your money to the cashier at the opposite end of the store.
Something else. No where is ever open. Places open late. Close for literally hours during lunch. Then open back up for two hours tops at the end of the day. Nothing is open Sundays and Saturdays are a toss up.
Took a bus back to Catania where we will repeat the gorgeous drive back to Palermo. Then we fly to Rome.
