I think I am getting a hang on this teaching thing. My Monday class with the second graders keeps getting better. Next week, I'm planning on them making a book...well, one page and I'll make a book for each class. More details on that later..still thinking of how I want to do this.
Tuesday was my precious 4th graders. I'm friends with one of the 4th grade homeroom teachers and she was running late so I went into her class and played hangman with them until she came.
Today I taught my 6th graders...I wasn't with it fully today, so I think I did a poor job teaching today. Hopefully they don't mind too much.
...
Last night I got a text from Tim asking if I had a toilet plunger...at 8:45pm I made my way over to his place, never been there before but I knew approximetly where he lived. It took about 20 minutes to get there and I stayed till about 10:15pm talking about our love lives situations. 진 (guy I met on the train) and I have been texting since that day. Not sure what we are talking about...thinking its about cooking, English and Korean and how our days are lol.
...
Just learned a Korean proverb, so I will share it with you.
  • 사랑은 아래로 흐른다.
Pronounced as:
  • Salangeun alaelo haulenda
Direct Translation:
  • Love down flows.
Translation:
  • Love flows down.
Meaning:
  • This is something that we know, but the first I've heard it put into words.
  • Loving is like a stream that flows down, not up. This applies to a parents love for a child. A child cannot love a parent the way a parent loves a child.
