Another very scenic National Park.  It had never occurred to us that a reef could be away from the marine environment.  As we travelled across the Reef the rocks went from red to grey to brown and back to red again.  There were cliffs, big domes, spires, canyons and arches.  The road followed the Fremont River where we found a good 2 mile hike to Hickman Bridge - a 130 ft natural rock arch.

If you are ever here, at Torrey,Utah, stay at the Sandstone Inn.  The owners went out of their way to accommodate us when they learned we had an elderly Border Collie - and they have a fine motel with a great setting.
