We found two scenic routes just north of Moab, both along the Colorado River, one east and one west. The colour of the river blends with the red rocks all around. This is a slow moving section of the river and we saw rafters drifting along, there were no rapids for them to surge through. Towards the west we found lots of petroglyphs to view and easterly the narrow canyon opens up to Castle Valley - a local resident said it is much like Monument Valley National Park (which we have not been to, so we can't say).
