This has been, so far, my best trip yet. Before I came to Austria, I knew I wanted to make several pilgrimages to holy places just to pray and grow in my faith. One of the pilgrimages I wanted to do was to go to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati' house. Frassati is a famous blessed (not yet a saint) who lived from 1901 to 1925. He is famous for his youth and zeal in defending the faith in his wealthy and very secular northern Italian home of Pollone and Torino. This was a man who surrendered his entire life to Christ and lived to serve the poor for Christ. He was also a great mountaineer and lover of the wild outdoors, both of which I learned to love very much growing up in Colorado. In fact, Torino reminds me very much of Denver. So, me and four other friends set out on our pilgrimage to find Pier Giorgio's house. The catch was we had no idea where we were going...literally. All we knew was that his house was somewhere near Torino and we trusted that God would honor our intentions and that we would find some place to stay...Here is the story....

Hi! I know that this trip was taken a while ago...but I stumbled upon this when doing a quick google search! Your trip seems amazing and I'd love to learn more about how, where and what you did (the details). I am an American student studying in Rome for the semester and we are going to see the shroud of Turin next weekend. I am sooo interested in all things Frassati but can't seem to find much info on what to do for a pilgrimage and such. I know that he has a house and from the looks of your pics there are monasteries to stay and other interesting things. If you get this message and have the time to send me some details about your trip I would sooo greatly appreciate that. Also, did you guys do any hiking while near Turin? (You mentioned you are from Colorado and Turin reminded you of Denver.)

Please email me at regina.galassi@gmail.com.

Thank you so much and God Bless!
