Finally arrived in Buenos Aires. Thanks to Mark and Katie I got an upgrade to Business Class and for the first time in my life I flew in the relative comfort of a seat that fully reclined into almost a bed. With this new-found comfort, the flight literally flew by (pun intended). However, as so commonly happens when I fly long distance, I couldn´t resist stuffing my face with such seemingly endless food delights, such as Lancashire hot pot and Mediterranean meze. With the help of the bed-like contraption, I even managed to get some sleep, although the turbulence seemed to start just as I was dropping off.

Nevertheless, I got there safe and sound and only semi-tired after a 12 hour fligh, included a brief stop-off in Sao Paolo....there´s a bloody nutter here in this internet cafe who´s muttering absolutely nothing to himself - just want to shut him up permanently....anywhere, where was I. Yes I got to Buenos Aires and after no customs hassles, Jorge picked me up and took me to my new family home....whilst driving hands-free most of the way and chatting on his phone in-between telling me varous snippets of info about Buenos Aires.

Surviving this episode, I met Sylvia, whose flat I´ll be staying at for the next couple of weeks. Her son, whose name I´ve just forgotten, was also there (I´ll refer to him as Sylviasan for now). They both seemed nice enough, very friendly. Turns out Sylviasan´s just started Tango lessons so his mum was trying to get him to drag me to them...we´ll see how that pans out.

Decided to take a walk and find the spanish school I´m signed up with. Good job I did, as half an hour later I found myself there and supposed to be in classes which no-one had told me about. Sat in, but found them to be too basic so am switching to the next level up tomorrow and will see how that goes.

Have spendt the last couple of hours getting my bearings wondering around. It´s mid thirties at the moment, but feels so much hotter as it´s so humid. Gonna need more T-Shirts I think...hope I get acclimatised soon!!!

Anyway this ends my entry today. The questions on my mind are, how will the classes go tomorrow? Will I ever stop sweating? How much beef can my guts take....am looking forward to finding out.....over and out?
