As we had left england to start anew we ventured to america first but thats another story then American Samoa my fiirst time to the pacfic! such a beutiful place the landscape and the people although they do eat abit to much (kept puttin on the pounds!)
We first stayed in Apia the capitol (I think) dogs and cats and mozzies evreywhere!
we stayed in a hotel just infrontof the bay where there was a few small canoes with a smaller branch connected to the side to keep it balanced. We all walked (me my parents and little sister) to the local supermarket where you would be walking through the toy section an there would be a bargain bin full of machetes and toys! and that day was some festival and there was bouncy castles and competion food and tradiotional tatooing my dad desperately wanted some done but mum said no after watching how it was done with the hammer and sharp pointy thing with ink on the end. then we had a coconut and walked home past a massive car dealers that was completely run down and overtaken by the jungle. The next day we enjoyed some sight seeing around the area to see some amazing waterfalls and to have a paddle in the rivers and streams but of course then it had to start raing so as we walked back barefoot through ankle deep bug infested swamp we finally reached the minivan and took off to see Robert louis stevensons house beutiful place an old colonial building full of amzing antiquities from around the world swords from japan and burma old books and texts stuffed animals pictures evreything! and so we got a tour by a very well spoken 15 year old samoan lad who showed us what evreything was and the history behind them and we saw where the man himself expired right on the living room floor hes not there anymore obviously it was really odd to see where he had died because its so close to being close to death maybe a couple 100 years apart but still it was weird he had come in from the outside pantry and died of ashma if i do beleive then on to look around by ourselves where my sister even after being told at least 6 times "Dont step in it!" she did she managed to smear bird poo all over roberts porch which still even as i am writing this makes me crack up possibly the funniest thing there. I shall continue in part 2
