OK, so I decided to write a small summary about each country that I visit... so here's My Peru...

I was a little sad that we didn't have more time in Peru. All the people I chatted to in my pigeon Spanish were warm and friendly and often bent over backwards to help me. The reading I did before I left on this trip lead me to believe that I would be fending off muggers and rapists at every corner, but that, as I suspected, is just not the case...

Yes, I remained wary, but I managed to curb the paranoia enough to not close myself off from local people... otherwise I may as well have stayed at home!

I don't suppose I've made any major revelations here, but I'll finish by saying that the thing I noticd most about Peru was the colour... I think it's the most colourful place I've ever visited, and there's something about that, that just makes me smile :)

Got your email, thanks! Will write and respond at the week-end as I'm busy with teaching now for a few days!
Peru sounds great and I know exactly what you mean about the colour too! The clothes that people wear and the brightly painted houses etc... I've never been there, but I've been to other places where it sounds like a similar feling. So yes, it does make you smile and glad to be alive too, so that's good. I'm glad you're enjoying it!!
Will write soon, so til' then take care and love you lots and lots!
