I didn't really no where I was going that morning but I was determent to leave. I crossed the Rion-Antirion Bridge to the northern side of the Greek mainland and after a few Km decided to stop at a gas station and think. I spent about two hours at that Gas station, reviewing my maps, working on my laptop and calculating different itineraries. My initial thought was to "skirt" Greece from the north-west, following its Ionic coast line through Albania but it seemed like I was missing a lot of what Greece had to offer.
After a few zigzags on the highway I made a decision to return to the bridge and found a cheap hotel right on the waterfront. At the hotel I decided to move east towards Athens. After a good Greek meal over the WEFA cup final I retired to my quarters. I got up next morning and began to cycle east.

I would love to see a picture of where the women of Tricarico do their wash by hand at the arch's water spouts flowing into the street
