Last week has been pretty rough. The weeks go by so fast right now. As soon as Monday has started it's already Friday again. The weekends are barely enough to calm down, relax and remember what is really important in life. I feel like corporate capital sucked out some of the last drops of life I had inside me. Luckily Axel and Mutsch (my mother's boyfriend and my mother) send us 10kg of apples, so we keep up the vitamin supply. Luckily Mari was there to cheer me up. Luckily I went to visit Christiane and Frank (and Christiane's posh friends). After discussing chandeliers and our next sailing trip (*laugh*), we fled to the "longest bar of Germany", which is basically one long street full of bars in the city of Düsseldorf.

The city of Düsseldorf is really something special. You should definately check it out. It's worth it. They have so many sights there that I won't even start to list them here. Wikipedia has a really good entry on Düsseldorf. You should check it out. What is especially interesting is the brewpub culture of Düsseldorf. Most of the pubs there still make their own Altbeer. It tastes great and is relatively cheap (about 1,5 € per glass).

Anyhow, Friday was my last day at the company. Can't tell you how great it feels. Moreover we said good-bye to our long-term guest Ashley from America, so we've got the apartment to ourselves again.

Otherwise the week has not been that. exciting. I went to get an MRT (the tube that makes awesome photos of your body's interiour with magnectic fields and such things). Evidently, my vertabraes are not in good shape anymore. I guess that's it with the carrying around of heavy backpacks and furniture. Mari and I went on quite a few walks. We discovered interesting things such as a lonely fridge or an inner tube dispenser (take a look at the photographs). Walking around Cologne, there's always something new to discover. I love this city, even though most houses are ugly and the weather is mostly grey in grey.

Mari and I are leaving for Finland next week. Can't tell you how happy we are to get out of here for a while. We just gonna relax at the lake house and do nothing. Of course we gonna meet Pia, just to check on her teeth and stuff.
