The week has been good though as I got to catch up with Emily again before she headed off further east, as well catching up with her though Ceske Krumlov does definitely stand out in my European travels as probably the most picturesque and naturally beautiful town I've seen. It is only very small, it takes probably less than an hour to pretty much see the whole place but it is beautifully set, surrounded by hills and the Vltava (I think) river winding around the inner town and with the hills and rooves covered in white it makes for beautiful picture which fits in with the description of CK as a fairytale town.
I'll be off again now though, sorry if this is a bit brief but I think I'll get out now and get one last look around the town before getting ready to head back to big city and eventually back to London for one last week before finally saying goodbye to Europe.
Well here I am now in what will be the last 'new' spot in the European leg of my travels. I'm having a nice relaxing day today here in Ceske Krumlov just enjoying the beautful view out over the perfect old town and the snowy hills in the background. Since I last wrote I've spent a few nights in Prague and then I arrived here two days ago and will be heading back to Prague tonight. I must say that Prague didn't quite live up to the hype that it gets, it was a nice city but it didn't really stand out for as a particularly beautiful city or particularly lively. It certainly is a quiet time of year as the cold is certainly starting to set in and keep people away. Nonetheless, I did have a few fun nights out and some good cheap meals. That is probably the main things that stands out for me in Prague was the pubs, I came across a few really nice, rustic basic pubs which probably aren't for everyone but are just what I like but still after spending I think 5 nights there altogether I was a bit Pragued out and to be honest I'm not overly excited about heading back there tonight but despite the beauty of Ceske Krumlov there really isn't much to do here so I figure I'll head back to make a day of Prague tomorrow before flying back to London for the last time on Monday morning.
