Ok, so did anyone explain this horrible jet lag to me!  Oh my! surviving week one at work was a challenge.  Body wants to sleep during the day and wants to stay up all night.  Running on 3 - 4 hrs of sleep a night is not a good thing.  Not helping this situation is meeting the transport at 7AM, getting to work at 7:15AM and getting the transport back to my apartment at 5PM.  With only a  few minutes for getting lunch it calls for a VERY long day!  Will have to see if I can work on this transport thing.

Week one consisted of meeting the team I will be working with, and most of the HR floor team members.  I hope I am not tested on everyone's name next week!  Challenges with my computer access seemed to dominate.  SURPRISE!  :)  Getting building access and door access was the next challenge, formalities and such you know.  Now if I can only get a desk phone and cell phone I will be set.

My co-worker took me for a lovely walk in the evening for purposes of excercise, I must say the walk was awesome.  There was a light warm breeze, reminding me of home.  However, all the yachts parked on the water and all the high end stores certainly said "Norma you are not in Humble anymore".  Can I just ask, who the heck shops at these places?  I bet there is no such things as coupons or discounts at any of them.

My week ended with a highlight, as I also was able to visit one of our other locations in Ras Laffan.  This is where the 'big" project is.  I must say it was a site to see.  It seems to be running like a well oiled machine.  The ride was pleasant, Did you know that Qatar is mostly desert????? (smile).  Am including some pic's of that road trip.

Weekend is here, I just might have something better to post after this weekend!

Enjoy the pic's!
