Our final day in Mabul. We went for a relaxing massage at the resort's massage centre – it was absolutely amazing and just what we needed. The view from the massage rooms itself was enough to switch on the relaxing mood in us. Like all the other structures on Mabul Water Bungalows, these rooms were actually built on stilts over the sea. You actually look out into the ocean. Too bad we did not have our camera with us!
We were transported back to the mainland by private boat and then minibus to Tawau Airport. Our Air Asia flight back to Kuala Lumpur was at 18:10 and we arrived without any problem.
We will travel onward from Kuala Lumpur to Mentakab, my hometown to spend a few days with my family before departing TOGETHER (yes!!! We will no longer be apart in 2009!!!) to Manchester, where we will then travel onward to Leeds, our base for the time being.
2008 has been a fantastically great year for us and we hope 2009 will be likewise so. We plan to travel to many other countries during the limited leave period we can get from work.
