We were escorted from our hotel by two members of the RCMP and headed towards Adam's River to see the salmon run. Prior to arriving there the skies opened and we rode an hour in the rain. The sky was pitch black over the mountains and despite the cold hard rain the view was spectacular.  It was worth the ride and the RCMP officer explained to us that the salmon we were looking at were four years old and had returned to their place of birth and were between 25 - 30 pounds.  Their faces were snoutlike and green in comparison to their red bodies and he explained this is due to exposure to the fresh water.

After we left the salmon run we headed towards Kamloops, stopping for lunch along the way.  We had a Mark's Whistlestop scheduled for three but unfortunately the skies opened again and for the first time we had to do the Mark's whistlestop indoors.   This is also our last Mark's whistlestop on the tour. Wayne  entertained the riders, Mark's staff members and customers with his song "How's your prostate" and the entertainment was very well received.  Garry and Byron both said a few words and as well the Deputy Mayor Denis Walsh spoke to the crowd about the causes we are riding for and welcomed us to the City.

We all applauded when Stephan, whose bike unfortunately had mechanical problems two days ago, appeared on a Spider that was loaned to him by Banner Recreational products. Stephan will be able to complete the tour now (and not in a rental car) thanks to their generosity.

We got to our hotel and while we were lined up in the lobby waiting to check in, Smoker was caught by complete surprise, as were the rest of us, when his wife Ann appeared in the lobby.  She flew in from Ottawa to surprise him and will ride with us to the end of the Tour.  Great that she made it, Smoker was so happy.

Tomorrow we have an early start (7 am) with final destination, Surrey.

Almost there gang! Wish I was over there to say hello to the Pacific with you. In some ways it probably feels like an eternity since we gathered atop Signal Hill.. but it also feels like just yesterday. Finish strong! Bravo!
