Greatest day riding yet !  Sunshine all the way and while it started out at 3 degrees by the time we reached Revelstoke we were at 26.

Left Canmore and rode through the Rockies to Banff and some SHOPPING (yea) and sightseeing and on to  Lake Louise.  Obviously took pictures there.. reminded me of a picture you would see on a jigsaw puzzle.  Lunch in Golden B.C. where we found the "Golden Rim Motor Inn" for anyone else who is  a Tragically Hip fan, and then on to Revelstoke B.C. where we are spending the night.

Interesting to see the difference between the landscape in Alberta and B.C. with Alberta having more rocky mountains and B.C. having huge cedar trees, which you can smell as you drive through the windy roads.  Also tunnels to drive through in the avalanche sheds in B.C.

Scenery is everything everyone says it is.  Probably the best day of riding yet.  Plus we gained another hour... doesnt get much better than that.

After dinner we learned that Howard, who everyone mistakenly calls Harold, is actually Clifton Howard, which just confuses matters more. Clifton, or Howard or Harold, has been with us since day one and is a guy born and bred on the Rock.

We also all waited with anticipation to hear the announcement from Dennis Jackson and his "girlfriend" Dorothy (or Donna which she has now been called) as to the arrival of their latest grandchild. As I write this at 10 pm B.C. time, their daughter-in-law Joanne, who is married to their son David, is in labour at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa.  We expect it might be champagne breakfast as there should be an announcement by morning.

Tomorrow we ride again.. to Nelson B.C.  Hard to believe that we are already in our last province

The ride between Golden and Revelstoke (and beyond) is gorgeous, isn't it? Was just out there a couple weeks ago.
Enjoy the ride past the Shushwap.. that's one of my favorite stretches of road in BC.. beautiful scenery and twisty tarmac (for a cruiser).
Be safe gang!
