Melissa and I headed south for a little cold weather camping for the New Year. We arrived on the 30th and set up camp. We were the only ones there till almost sun down.  A Canadian couple doing a 7 week road trip in VW Westfalia pulled in and the 3 of us had the park to our selves.  Roger and Lea stopped by to enjoy the camp fire and have a few sips of wiskey. (Good luck and have fun on your adventure guys, Cheers!)

The next morning Melissa and I headed up to Zapata falls.  The trail had 2 inches of new snow and was a fairly easy to navagate.  Once we hit the frozen creek we headed up stream on the ice and in to the narrow canyon to the ice falls.

New Years eve Melissa and I built a big camp fire and drank wiskey till about 2230.  The temp. dipped to the zero range some time after midnight. Melissa was not impressed.

The morning of the 1st I found a small coolant leak in the truck.  After I replaced a bad clamp and addded a quart of fluid I decided to break camp and head home a day early.  I figured it would be a good idea just to be safe.  Not only that I ran out of Coleman fuel.

The trip home was uneventful and reall straight forward.
