We managed to get up at 4.15am to get to train station for 5,30am.
The train goes along the Jungle railway to Jerantut whish is just outside of Taman Nagara rainforest.
The train was a nightmare with cramped seats with springs sticking in your backside & it was 10 hours long, but the scenary was pretty amazing. Then we got a mini van to Kuala Tahan the little village in the rainforest. We checked into a little wooden chalet, basic but what would you expect in the rainforest.
We walked down to floating restaurants down steep steps, sandbanks & across the gang plank in the pouring rain.
All you could hear all night were the bull frogs & there was one in our bathroom.

Next day got taxi boat across river to register into the park & set off on our trek.
We walked through the jungle to the Canopy Walkway which is 50metres above ground. Tim thought that as he is scared of heights he would be panicking, he was fine it was me that had jelly legs. I didn¡¯t like the swaying & Tin though it was funny to jump on behind me & swing it. But we both made it round no problems in the end.
Then we trecked up to Bukit Teresik the view point on the hill & by god what a bloody trek, then we went up even further (glutons for punishment) but the views out over the rainforest made it worth it they were spectacular.
Trecked back down & through the wet, slippery jungle to find the swimming area & on the way we heard a roaring noise not to far away (if you could have seen our faces ¨C panic didn¡¯t even come in to it). We had walked for an hour & couldn¡¯t find the swimming area so turned back when we bumped into 2 Swedish girls who were also lost. (This is the reason most people are not tight like us & actually get themselves a guide). We all trecked back together (you know safety in numbers & all that). God it¡¯s hot in the rainforest & we sweated like we never sweated before, well you can see for yourselves on the photos, not attractive at all, & we looked like we had peeed ourselves. When we got back we realized we had been bitten by leeches (again & you lot think this if fun) we couldn¡¯t actually find the leeches in our walking boots though so god know where they ended up fat as anything no doubt because one of the bites on my foot took a couple of hours to stop bleeding. Mmmmmmmm Nice.

We got a boat down Tembling river through the jungle, watching the women washing their clothes & the kids playing in the river. Then we got minivan to Jerantut & a bus onto Kuala Lumpur.
