Quick breakfast in the restaurant across the street. We leave our firearms on the bus. Then off to Wahweap Marina on the lake at 6:45. It's a short ride over the river. The boat has two levels. The upper is open to the sky and is filled up before we get on board. I do get a seat by the window on the first level. It's a very pleasant 2.5 hour ride to the canyon where we can walk on an extended pier and then trail to Rainbow Bridge. The photos tell it all better than words can. Then lunch bag lunch on board during the return trip.
We stop off at the visitor center for the dam to see a movie about Glen Canyon. Then a surprise stop for ice cream! What a delicious treat. Unfortunately, dinner is only 2 hours away!
