I have just had my first ever massage. The are a couple of ladies who have a beach hut at the place where we are staying who will give you a full body massage for about 7 pounds. It`s been very stressful these first 7 days in Fiji. What with having to lie in the sun all day, with only a couple of hours for lunch, and a crystal blue sea to cool of in. It was starting to get tense at the though of having to leave.

I was a bit nervous at first, as I had never had one before, so I did not know what to expect. My nerves were not helped when I saw the two large Fijian women who were about to give me a right good going over. If you can imagine a young Micheal Jackson only 20 stone heavier, you will get a good idea of the masseurs.

"Be gentle with me, I`ve never had one of these before. No rough stuff"

"Dont`t worry sir. We`ll soon bend you into shape."

"!"

It did actually turn out to be quite relaxing. No stone left unturned. They even massaged my face. I did not want to get up when they had finished.

Life in Fiji is very slow and peaceful. Nothing is rushed. It can be annoying at times, as they will tell you something will happen at such and such a time, only to have it happen anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours later or quite often not at all. Once you get used to it though, it can be good fun. I could live here.

There is quite a lot to do here, I just have not got round to it yet. I can always do it later. For now I`m just going down to the beach for a bit.
