"A whole new world
a dazzling place I never knew..."
The words from Aladin ring in my head as I sit down to collect my thoughts about our 2 day trip to Disneyland Paris to celebrate Hannah's birthday.
On Sunday, we left the house at 6am so we could check our bags into the hotel and get ourselves organized for the 2 hours reserved for hotel guests to enjoy a few rides in the park before it is open to all guests. We were pumped.
Approaching the hotel on the grounds was very strange. There was not a soul walking around the park. We took some pics to show that there is some quiet to be had there.
At the hotel we were pleased to discover that they had a room available so we could get into it, drop our bags, map out our route and go, go, go.
We had a blast, starting at Space Mountain, Mission 2...Hannah was pretty nervous but she loved it...I'm realizing I'd better get through some of this or we'll be here all week...
By noon, we had ridden about 12 rides and by theend of the day TWENTY-ONE! My faves included: Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain coaster (which went under their "lake" to then ride on a mountain/island...cool), Autopia and watching Hannah and James in the teacups...NOT for me...lol.
Dinner was a special treat at "Cinderella's Inn" a little French restaurant where the princesses came to visit. The food was good and our waiter was very fun.
We rode tons of rides, watched parades, met characters, enjoyed fireworks, ate sweet popcorn, walked our buns off, held hands, laughed, screamed, laughed some more and thoroughly enjoyed the whole scene.
We were pleased as punch to lay our heads down onto soft pillows (past midnight) and snore the night away.
Some time I'll share more about the second day which was mostly spent at Disney Studios...but for now, I want you to not get bored and still come visit.
Cheers, Eli
