Where I stayed
Beaver Creek Jellystone Campground
Today wasn't one of our most exciting days, but don’t forget this is a Wright family vacation so we obviously had our share of obstacles to run through. This morning started with me, Caleb, and Zachary making our last visit to the air show for the year. We visited some of the things we skipped in the beginning like the antiques and all of the DC3’s that they flew in this year; including the one and only Duggy. Then I had to drag Zachary and Caleb around to a couple more colleges I wanted to talk to including the Air force Academy and one in Minnesota; which my Attorney (Zachary) advised me wasn’t a good choice, I’m thinking because it didn’t have all the cool freebies like the Air Force Academy did.
We made our way back to the camper early because we had strict instructions that we were leaving by 1pm. I am pretty sure it was about 2:30 before we actually took off. Caleb and I drove the rent car back to Madison following the massive RV. I was scared to lose sight of it; although now thinking about it I don’t think I could have lost it very easily. When we got to Madison I switched with my mom so that she could return the car. It was then when I was informed that when the RV came to a sudden stop at a turn, dinner or at least part of dinner, flew all over the place. Now it is kind of hard for me to explain what happened because I wasn’t in the RV at the time but I think that we can all use our imagination here.
After we returned the rent car and got back on the road we notice a bit of a traffic jam. As we got closer we saw that it was due to an accident, a BIG accidentL. As we got closer, being nosy, we all pulled up the blinds to see what happened. Silly mom yells "it’s a plane!" No, sorry mom, I don’t think that’s what it is. Although logical since we just came from the biggest air show in the country. So what was it? Well when we finally got close enough to see that it wasn’t a plane. We found none other than a dismembered RV. I think it was a fifth wheel but it was stripped down to splinters so kinda hard to tell. Chaos, police, emergency vehicles of every kind, and debris from the wreckage literally scattered everywhere. There wasn’t much left on the actual frame, although the RV toilet was in perfect condition, HUMMMM, if things could only be built so well. Anyway, as we cleared the wreck we get the inevitable sarcastic comment from Caleb “Well drive safe. We don’t want to be the next one of those”. Thanks Caleb! : )
Anyway, after that it was smooth sailing into Minnesota. I do have to say that it is beautiful here. We rolled into Jelly Stone RV Park around 8pm. This place is SOOO cool! At least the boys think so. They have a swimming pool, a game room, all kinds of park toys, and lots of campers! So far this has been the best vacation ever, but I think tomorrow is going to make it one heck of a lot better! SPAM factory… here we come!! --Jessica

Great stuff. Sounds like Jessica is writting. If so, she should write a book. Smart grand-daughter. Mom's not getting your trip log. Add her to your email list.
