Where I stayed
II'm not sure whether it's good to be back or not. There's something about Indonesia that makes me feel apprehensive for some reason.
It's the Hindu New Year and following the celebrations yesterday, everyone, locals and visitors alike, are confined to their homes and hotels today. In some ways its nice because there's nothig else to do but relax and soak up the sun, get to know some of the other guests at the hotel and plan our next journey.
The hotel is tucked away in a gang off Poppies I, quiet, a little oasis in the madness that is Kuta.
But even Bali has changed, Kuta isn't the same buzzing place that it was prior to the bombings, other areas have been developed and become more popular with holidaymakers and backpackers, leaving the old lady of Kuta looking somewhat run down and faded.
