I'm not sure whether it's good to be back or not.  There's something about Indonesia that makes me feel apprehensive for some reason.

It's the Hindu New Year and following the celebrations yesterday, everyone, locals and visitors alike, are confined to their homes and hotels today.  In some ways its nice because there's nothing else to do but relax and soak up the sun, get to know some of the other guests at the hotel and plan our next trip.

The hotel is tucked away on a gang off Poppies I, quiet, a little oasis in the madness that is Kuta.  Bali has changed, Kuta isn't the same buzzing place that it was prior to the bombings, other areas have been developed and become more popular with holidaymakers and backpackers, leaving the old lady of Kuta looking somewhat run down and faded.  What haven't changed though are the amazing sunsets - there's nothing quite like a walk along the beach as the sun sets over the ocean.

The following day, we wandered along the beach to Seminak.  The beaches were packed, but it was fun people watching and just enjoying the sunshine.

I'm not sure how I did it, but I twisted my knee and even with resting, it wasn't getting any better, in fact, it was becoming swollen, so much so that I decided to go to the hospital to have it checked out.  Luckily there was no major damage but I was told to use crutches for a couple of days and not to walk too much.  So, nothing for it but to take it easy by the pool at the hotel, read, dip in the pool and just relax.  Luckily, by the time we were due to leave for Candi Desa, the swelling had gone down and I was able to return the crutches to the hospital.
