We've left the madness of Kuta behind and are now up in the hills in Ubud. Jati's is lovely, tucked down a small alley, with views over padi fields, its just what's needed after Kuta.
There are lots of small cafes, bookstores and spas! Ron and I went for a couples massage which lasted two hours and left us both so relaxed! An hour's massage first followed by a luxurious bath in a huge tub together with ginger tea and fruit and an amazing view out over the hills. Highly recommended especially at our age when even a few hours on a bus tends to produce knots the size of footballs in tired muscles.
We've also walked a fair bit and on one particular trip found ourselves out in the padi fields walking along little dirt paths that took us unbelievably to a small warung in the middle of no where! We stopped and had ginger tea and a snack. It was a lovely chilled out spot and we spent a couple of hours sitting chatting and relaxing, with stunning views across the fields to the misty mountains in the distance before wending our way back along streams and footbridges to Ubud.
A wonderful place to just relax and unwind.
