La Paz is the administrative capital of Bolivia and is located at an elevation of 3,660 meters, it is the worlds highest capital city. We were drawn to La Paz for the three major tourist attractions, the jungle in Rurrenabaque, the worlds most dangerous road and Huayna Potosi.

We arrived into La Paz late Wednesday night after our short but eventful three hour bus journey from Copacabana. Half way between Copacabana and La Paz the bus stopped at the edge of a lake and we were ordered to disembark. We had to cross the lake and without a bridge they boarded the bus onto a barge and sent it across. The gringos were shepherded along the
shore to a small motor boat which we were supposed to cross on. The lads were not impressed as the locals were allowed stay on the bus while the gringos paid extra. If only we could speak descent Spanish the driver would have got a right rollicking.Welcome to Bolivia....

We spent Thursday sight seeing followed by a night out in a "club" called Route 36, highly illegal.
"Is Beyonce the most beautiful woman in the world?"
YES, this was the basis of the argument in which one of the lads stormed out of the club. Sour as fcuk. I will let ye guess who......

On Friday we boarded our military plane to the jungle in Rurrenabaque.
