Having exhausted the limited supply of jobs in Christchurch I moved onto Rangiora where I got work on a deer farm for a few weeks. I later headed to Te Anau to meet my boyfriend of the time and moved in with him on Princhester Farm, a Landcorp property outside Te Anau.

Still not able to find work I moved onto Queenstown, a quiet little town surrounded by mountains, in particular the Remarkables which were spectacular. Initally getting work in a hostel, then in Cafe Lucillus in the mall (it's been demolished now!) then with the Gdanitz family. Finally I found my niche, in a newly opened tourist shop, Aotea Souvenirs ... until Christmas when my father arrived and it was time to move on again and think about heading to Australia in the New Year
