In Hughenden they have found many fossils of Dinosaurs etc.. So we went to the Dinosaur Discovery Center, this was a very small museum, but probably big for the size of the town. As I reckon Hughenden has a population less than 1000. Just outside Hughenden we also had our lunch, we found a nice "rest area", to have our french bread with fresh lettuce, tomato, salami etc
From Hughenden we drove to Cloncurry only having some short stops, the roads where very long, and you really had to concentrate not to fall a sleep.. You could drive 100km without seeing a house or having a curve in the road.. And the scenery also the same..Bit of a boring drive, but definitly worth seeing it, as you then get a good idea how big Australia is.. If we look to the population density:

What means f$#king remote areas ;)
When we arrived in Cloncurry, we decided to stay in one of the old buildings, to save money and to see the architecture of those older buildings. We ended up in the "Post Office Hotel", what is build in 1932. After we paid, the owner told us that they would have a disco night. We already paid, so we ofcourse stayed.. And indeed a party was going on till approx 2:00 ;) I went to the party to have a few beers, while Kathryn read a book and checked the internet. We went to bed at midnight, but enjoyed the party from our bed till 2am ;) But all good..
