We were sorry to leave the Felucca. This was definitely our highlight of our trip to Egypt and we should have stayed for a couple more days. We caught a bus and headed to Kom Ombo and then the Temple of Edfu. This temple is the most well preserved temple in Egypt but I was not as impressed as I was with Karnak Temple in Luxor.
We then got back to Luxor, which I didn't look forward to. We did not go back to the Nefertiti hotel as we found one for half the price at $8! Of all things, it was the Bob Marley hotel! Everything was Marley and they had a nice roof top with cushions. But it was certainly not like my favorite rooftop terrace in India. We didn’t feel like doing anything, which seems to be the latest trend with us.
We went to the train station only to find out that all the tickets to Cairo was sold out and we would have to stay another night. I was SOO ready to get out of Luxor and I couldn’t believe we had to stay another night.
Being in Aswan and Luxor had completely turned me off to anyone being friendly. I hated feeling this way as I usually don’t judge a couple of bad experiences to be all the people of a country. But Egypt has tested all my patience and judge of character and I feel like I'm constantly being cheated. It is not a nice feeling. I thought that we would stay here for a month and study Arabic, no way. Wouldn’t even consider that after all the BS we have had to put with.
