We had really been looking forward to visiting Wild Wadi, it was supposed to be the biggest waterpark in the world. We met up with the Blake family who drove in from Abu Dhabi. We had too much fun going down all the water slides. Our stomachs hurt from all the laughing we did.
It was also funny to see the women dressed in their full on Abaya robes and headscarfs and covered faces while the man (or husband, they do seem to have more than one wife) wears a speedo! The local woman that did go in the water, wore a Muslim bathing suit that looks like a wet suit, it completely covers your arms and legs and neck, it certainly saves on sunscreen!!!
We were a bit disappointed as two of the rides where under renovations. And the waterpark didn't seem that big. We had heard that this is supposed to be the biggest waterpark in the world, but I think Wet and Wild in Florida seems bigger.
The day went too quickly and we said we would catch a ride with Waheed to Abu Dhabi to see them again before we leave for Egypt.
