Hello All! (Aloha is getting old isn't it?)

Jayne here...well a quick entry before we depart Hawaii....We are leaving Maui tonite, flying to Honolulu and leaving for Bangkok tomorrow (mon) noon. We will be travelling for about 24 hours and arrive in Bangkok Tues evening...

We will stay in Bangkok for a few days (the assault on our senses will probably be plenty after a few days we have been told) and then we will head down south to some secluded islands in the south for some more beach time Thai style (my tan isn't coming along as well as I would like it and believe it or not, I'm still very tired). After some time ? we will head up north and do the jungle thing....

Our stay in Hawaii was great but it is disappointing for me to see the amount it has changed in the 5 short years since I lived here. Kauai has traffic jams regularly and Maui is like a huge spread out Honolulu now...The beauty and spirit still stand but I think it's time to find a new santuary, perhaps Southern Thailand will fit the bill...I become more of a hermit all the time!!! That better not be a sign of getting older, only more refined in my tastes!!

We are still trying to master the photo thing so we can add some to the site but it's an interesting world with digital! (Diane and Doug, we will email you with all that we have learned)....

Oh yah, we went on a 5 hour boat trip today to the Molokini Crater off Maui and saw all kinds of endangered green sea turtles, it was amazing!!! they were shy and curious of the boat but were happy to have some people to admire them!!!

Oh yah, this entry would not be complete without mentioning Arn's surfing lesson here on Maui...He did AMAZING, i.e. he is still ALIVE and kinda healthy (minus a sore heel, rebreaking his big toe, re injuring his elbow, sore shoulders and Abs)...He ended up getting a private lesson for the price of a group lesson when no one else showed...I'm thankful he had a lot of attention focussed just on him or God KNOWS what may have happened! No, in all fairness, he did great, 'rode' quite a few waves and stood up really well. He said it is unbelievably dangerous with all the rock and coral everywhere, and the way those surfers so easily paddle out to the waves, is a total allusion, as it is the hardest part! Despite all that he had tons of fun and will continue his adventures in the south of Thailand I'm sure (do they know what a surfboard is?)

Ok, well I hear the weather there is back to fall, instead of winter so we are sending lots of EL NINO thoughts your way in hopes of continued mild temps....Take care everyone, we will write in awhile, once settled somewhere in Thailand...Prayers and hugs to you all. take care, J&A.
