Today is an 'At Sea' day so we are going do nothing today. Still feeling a little wiped from the heat yesterday and still not feeling too great.  Hope I’m not getting the flu....shhhhh....

Slept in till around 9:00 this morning.  Got up and had the usual breakfast.  I think by the end of this trip I’ll be sick of scrambled eggs.  Angie also had the usual but don’t think she’ll EVER get sick of smoked salmon.  After breakfast we went to a presentation on the Panama Canal (which is still two days away).  Check out what we learned:

Now if you look at it closely, it is the biggest Palindrome (spells the same thing both ways) around.  Thought y’all would like that little tidbit of information.

After the presentation, up on deck first for a moment of silence because today is Rememberence Day, then for a tanning break.  I’m already burnt so what the hell.  After an hour on deck, out of nowhere (and I mean nowhere since all I see in every direction is water.  It’s not like there’s a hill this cloud came over) comes this black cloud and dumps rain on us.  We move down to the 4th deck, which is covered and continue to relax.  Must have fell asleep (actually, yes we both did) for a couple of hours.  The sound of the water and the heat and quiet can really tame the soul.  Good thing it’s sheltered or we would have been real red.

After this, Angie’s was off to her scrapbooking class.  Time for me to get caught-up with the blog so off to the Rendez-vous lounge; order a Mojito and start typing...opps...who’s that over near the stage?  Geez, what’s the chance I’d show-up the same location where the scrapbooking class was...

An hour later, Angie leaves her class...never did see me.  I meet up with her at the stateroom, then we’re off for some sushi.  Tonight could be a nice sunset since it’s somewhat clear.  Back to the stateroom to grab the camera, then up on deck.  Problem is, bringing a camera from a cool, air-conditioned interior to a hot, humid exterior does wonders for optics and electronics.  My camera finally stabilized so I could take a few shots.  I’m going to only post what I think is the best one.

Down to the stateroom to get dressed for dinner.  There is a magic/comedy show before dinner staring Lorenzo Clark.  Heard he’s pretty good we off we go.  Wasn’t as funny and I thought but it was worth it.  I think to lady he brought-up on stage made the show.  Out of the theatre and straight to the dining room.  Met up with Martian and Susan, but that’s it.  Guess Walter and Rose also moved to early seating.  Really felt bad since only Martian and Susan were at dinner last night.  Susan told Martian that we all jumped overboard because of his stories.  We actually love hearing his stories...and look forward to them maybe more than the actual meal.  Really glad we have such nice people to sit and talk to.

After dinner, headed back to the stateroom and crashed for the night.  Tomorrow is Cartagena, Columbia and we’ve been warned that it will be pushing 90F.  Why do we live where we live????  Guess so we can enjoy places like this.  Emerald blue water in the Southern Caribbean Sea.  Never believed it but its true.  This holiday is worth every dollar and more.

Hey, how come I'm not reading anything about the Gym on the ship! Excellent descriptions of your days so far. Makes me feel like I'm right there with you as opposed to being back here at the circus. Have a great time in Panama...said with much envy!

As for exercise, they usually have a walking track around the ship...but some of those oldsters can really motor so try not to trip them as they go by!:-)

Hey what's the drink of the day each day? It's usually pretty good...
Nice pics...
