Here's where we got off the boat and said goodbye to our sailing partners from the past two weeks. One last night at the taverna and a big group dinner, then mostly early morning departures. We had a sane departure time of about 7:30 am, since we didn't have a plane to catch and didn't feel the need to deprive ourselves of any more sleep. The boat trip portion was fun, but I must say I was ready to get on solid ground and get some good sleep. It had been so hot up to this point that you couldn't sleep in the cabin at night, so you're up on deck where you're susceptible to noise from the "wine festival" and afraid to fall asleep too hard lest you roll overboard. During the day the boat's moving too much during the sail, you can't set up camp on the deck, so it's uncomfortable, and it's bloody 100 degrees anyway. Glad we did it, though.
