Just had bad $10 pasta on freshly starched linen table cloths in the dining car. They sat us with another couple for dinner..."Jimmy and Gina from Jersey" (surprisingly not as bad as they sound...they were actually quite sweet.) Train food sucks. We're buying a cooler in Chicago tomorrow. The beverages are fun though. We shared a mini-bottle of wine and after dinner were served coffee in a "coffee kottle" which looks like an upside down light bulb. Over dinner Jimmy (a guitar teacher) and Gina (an elementary school teacher) told us about their Hawaiin honeymoon which was only just in February of this year. Even though we are still on the train I'm glad wee aren't going to Hawaii. I'm feeling adventurous and this is certainly an adventure. --Celeste
