We caught the train from Sydney to Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains national park.
On the first day we walked to see the Three Sisters - three sandstone outcrops which just out from the cliff and plumment down to the rainforest far below.
Astounding views were complemented by the cacophony of bird calls rising up from the forest canopy.
It was much colder in the mountains than in Sydney, so we spent the next morning raiding the local charity shops to find me a jumper that hadn't been donated by Noel Edmonds. Meanwhile Harriet accumulated half a new wardrobe. So, burdened with our overnight bags and shopping we set off for a long misty walk through the lower regions of the rainforest. We saw fantastic tree ferns and Harriet accquired a little friend. You can see her subsequent leech protection in the photo!

Blue mountains
I'm going to start getting boring by writing 'I really loved it there too!' but this will be my last entry like that because I've never been to Sri Lanka!
Blue mountain was heart stoppingly, leech ploppingly beautiful, particularly the bits that hadn't been tinkered with too much. Just looking for miles and seeing verdant, green foliage ...mmmmm.
Your pictures are gorgeous and of a relly professional standard - but get someone to take some of you, too!
