Woke up tired again on Wednesday. Went out for breakfast...I've been making sure I get a big breakfast since I never seem to get lunch. Anyway a large, late breakfast is almost as good as lunch. Afterwards I felt like napping but successfully fought the desire. Instead I went job-hunting online. Lots of jobs, but none in Galway city...just Dublin and elsewhere in County Galway.

Katherine had a trial shift at La Salsa in the afternoon. Looks like she'll be hired. A fast food job is nothing to aspire to (I refuse to go there) but at least she'll have a job while she looks for a better one. How come I'm the only one left jobless when I have the best qualifications?

After Katherine got off work, we hung out at the hostel and talked to Joe and Andy. Then they all went off to a pub. I decided that what I needed most was some solo time, so I stayed at the hostel, intending to write. Instead I fell asleep and had a two-hour nap from 9-11 in the evening. Bad idea. I woke up again, went downstairs and talked to Ryan for a while, went on the Internet, and eventually did my laundry in the middle of the night. Ryan let me use the machine for free because he knows me, because I've been there for a week, and because I have my own detergent. (Normally €7 for the whole cycle, including detergent provided. Isn't that astounding?) When the washer finished, I was in the middle of an e-mail, so that made things even later. Plus there was an additional step...putting my clothes in a spinner before putting them in the dryer. With one thing and another, I wasn't finished laundry until almost 5 AM, well after Katherine and the others had returned. So much for getting more sleep at the proper times!
