Where I stayed
Warm and sunny day. Off to the Notre Dame in the morning as it was free to wander through the main part of Cburch. Both sides completely filled with chapels, often to Saints, but the centre was wider than at Canterbury Cathedral. Otherwise, except for the very Catholic feel of the place, not too dissimiliar to Canterbury.
We decided to walk to the Effiel Tower in the afternoon which turned out to be rather a long way on such a warm day. We sat in the small park surrounding the Tower for a while, until we decided that Austin would join the queue to climb up the famous building, while Joy rested and people watched. It took half an hour to buy a ticket but then it was relatively quick to climb up the stairs to the 1st and then the 2nd levels. Historical displays accompany the climber on the way up and at each level. Austin didn't bother joining the next queue to catch the elevator to the very top as the 2nd level gave a pretty good view as it was. Given our tiredness, we decided to catch the bus back home.
