After breakfast we were invited by fellow guests, Susan and Graham, to stay with them in the Lakes District when we get up that way - just a lovely offer from folk we had only chatted to a couple of times over breakfast.  Headed off to Pooh Bear Country.  Pooh Sticks Bridge first where we played the game of course.  Good fast stream without much to snag the sticks.  Met a rambler doing a 13 mile walk - obviously retired.  Gearing up to do a nine day ramble through Dorset and Cornwall.  Talk about keen.  On to Crowborough to get some money and top up the phone card.  Back to Pooh Country with a short stp at 'Roman Road' to observe a small remaining section of such.  Parking at 'Piglets', we walked around 'Sandy Pit', 'Galleons Leap' and the 'Enchanted Place'.

Visited the Ashdown Forest Centre.  Very impressive.  Displays of common forest trees (named), animals and birds of the forest and a photographic display by Stephen Dalton.  To Forest Row for some Take-away bits and pieces and an early night home.
