Well made it to
Chumphon at 5am. Left
Bangkok at 9pm on a nice VIP Bus (plenty of room, watched a movie right as we left Bangkok, large reclining chairs, AC, and a bathroom on the lower deck). Met a couple from Montana and had a nice chat with them about their travels. Michelle and I knock down a couple of large Chang beers, which helped us sleep later as well as run back and forth to the bathroom...lol. We arrived at the pier south of
Chumphon, were most people were going to catch the boats over to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan (were I suspect most people are headed as a full moon party is on the 5th), or Koh Samui. We caught a ride in a smaller truck up to city center of Chumphon (about a 15 minute ride), in a typical Thai driving manner...going about a hundred miles an hour and weaving in and out of morning traffic. It's almost 7am now and getting ready to head north about 15 minutes by taxi to Thung Wua Laen Beach were I'll be relaxing and kite boarding and Michelle will be taking her open water diver course. Looking forward to a week of beach life....

New Kite
Your new kite is at the house. Also, picked up the goat mount. Looks good. May get to hang it in the living room. F&G has shut down goat registration hunts on the Kenai -- met their management goals. We have until 12/6 to apply for next year's permits. Enjoy warm weather --- we are getting colder this coming week. Hi Laura!
