Wow - over a month since I posted last! Here's an update on what's happened in the past month.

Bastian, Jana, Nacho, and I finished our project on looking up sources and interviews on ISEDET's foundation and history - it looks great! We ended up writing and collecting over 300 pages of material. Hats off to the whole gang for a job well done (and with little Spanish experience!). Listening to the stories of ex-professors and administrators during these interviews was a once in a lifetime experience. I'm grateful to Decano Granados and Rector José David Rodríguez for giving us the opportunity to access this information and work on this project. Their help gave us the leads we needed to do a good job.

Also, ^--- heading up this project took up time. This is why I haven't posted in a month (along with seasonal allergies, which got me again . . . urgh).

Dr. Strom came down from Candler to get to know ISEDET a little better. It was great to hang out, and we got to grab lunch with Dr. Nestor Miguez, Decano Granados, and Rector José David Rodríguez. While the lunch was formal, we had the chance to hang out with Decano Granados and Rector David Rodríguez again the next night in a more informal setting when Decano Granados held a barbacue at his house for the History of the Church in Latin America class. It was a blast!!!

Had a great time today with Mom and Dad here in the city. We walked down to Defensa street, where there is an open market on Sunday afternoons. I bought a set of pan pipes and some electronic tango music (it's fantastic!). We also got to see a tango show in the nearby plaza. The show was absolutely breathtaking - I took a few minutes of video and plan on referring back to it to learn some new moves! Got some good photos too, as you can see : )

It's been really good to see Mom and Dad - we needed some time together like this. I'm grateful that we'll get to spend more time together in about a month when I head back home for Christmas.

3 final papers to write in the next two weeks - and then it's back to tango lessons every day until I go home! Maybe I can get everything done this week so that I can get 10 good classes in during the next two weeks? We'll see : ) A friend connected me on Facebook with a tango instructor in Atlanta who's from Bs. As. though, so hopefully tango won't stop here!

Nos vemos pronto!
-Will
