Wow, yet another night of blissfilled sleep, Jasper again slept through til 5ish and then had another sleep until 8am. Yay! we may have to stay on holidays until he is 2! ;)

Finally the rain had passed and the sun was peaking through the clouds. We set off for the next town of Smogen, a gorgeous fishing village. It all seemed rather sleepy with little tourists and hardly any shops open along the Smogenbryggan, the boardwalk that wraps around the small harbour. Kenny likened it to the town in "northern exposure". But we didn't mind, it was actually really lovely to have the place to ourselves bar a handful of tourists and sailors walking around. Such tranquility was only spoilt by a fighter jet doing manouveres in the sky. We sat in the sun and just soaked it all up. The sea landscape is quite barren with gorgeous pink granite rocky outcrops with little to no vegetation. It all felt very remote.

We then headed back down the boardwalk to the seafood shops that were open and had a yummy fish and salad roll and also bought some fresh mackerel for dinner. They had loads of crayfish as they celebrate the season at the end of August. After a walk around the cottages above the harbour we headed back to our campsie for a relax, beer and for kenny some kite flying. Hmm, where to tomorrow, Fiskebacksil or Fjallbacka??
