Where I stayed
Hi Jolly, BLM

Quartzsite is near the border of California and Arizona and according to my limited research no residential houses exist there. Instead there is mile after mile of RV lots.  Some kinda fancy, most rustic, and some, well, just dirt.  We chose a dirt one.  A BLM lot about 4 miles from, erh, town, loosely called "Hi Jolly".  Don't know why, didn’t ask.

A very large open lot became our home for the night.  BTW, the claim to fame for the town is that it is, absolutely, the largest daily swap meet in America.  That’s pronounced ' ‘merica to ya’all.  Okay, so it was cheap.  While we were there a quick storm blew through and gave us lovely rainbows.  cool.

The next morning I took off early before my new buddies Judy and Virginia.  They had quite an adventure after I left.

It’s alright because after Judy got out of the hospital and Virginia went back home to Santa Barbara, I was already settled into Picacho (pronounced like pistachio) Peak Arizona State Park and hiking around with Robin.  Uh huh.

She’s okay, I think, really.
