We will update again soon, this a quick update much happening plans changing Stay Tuned OK.

Well we really did not think we would be back in US so soon, but plans change and we could not miss the opportunity to have the family all together again.
Dylan is here preparing to sail James' boat back to OZ and Carrick is on his way over to join us for 3 weeks, so we will all be together.  We will then Buddie sail down to Guatemala, where we will park Windwalker for the Hurricane season and Dylan will sail on through the Panama Canal to Australia.

We had a great time in the Bahamas and just spent a week with Brad & Kathy in Governors Harbour, Eleuthera.

It was their 35th Wedding Anniversary our 34th Friendship Anniversary.  We even got to spend our 1st night off the boat in a year.  We had a sleep over at Hummingbird, Brad & Kathy's rental house on the waterfront at Levi Island.

I t has been a while since we could update again so we have combined pics from Exumas with Peter & Sue and Eleuthera onward to Miami.
We left Governors Harbour around 11.30am after farewelling the Schultzs and sailed to Current Cut, ready to cross to the Berry Islands on our way back To Miami USA.  No rest for the wicked up at Dark O'Clock and sailed on to Chub Cay among the squalls, arriving late evening.  then @  0-Dark.30 this time, we set off to Cat Cay where we arrived late evening yet again.

We awoke to check the squall activity for the Gulf Stream Crossing and as we had somehow managed to lose the top section of the SSB Radio Antenna in the rougher waters of the previous day, we could not really get through on the radio.  So we took a chance and went anyway.  It turned out to be a perfect flat crossing. The squalls were easing and all missed us.  Not much wind but good motor sailing.  Dolphins for company and amazing sailing Man-O-War Jelly Fish  all over the picture perfect deep blue ocean.

Sadly I could not really fish as the propellers and an occasional large fish with sharp teeth have eaten all my lures.

The Gulf Stream was flowing much faster than I anticipated so my calculations for our course were not working out too well as we steadily sailed sideways away from my way point.  Never mind though the wind was Cooperating a little more now and I actually could have sailed. But I chose to motorsail into the current more to try avoiding a landing in Fort Lauderdale instead of Miami !!!!.

It all turned out well though and we arrived about 500 metres from my way point to a rude awakening of the "Fast and Furious life style of Miami .  Lots of very expensive, very fast Sports Fisher Boats everywhere.  We actually encountered our kettle breaking largest waves in the channel as a really Nice & Considerate Massive Power boat sped right past creating a rather surfable bow wave and resulting killer wake.   I did take the trouble to hail him on the VHF to thank him.

So we Burned a bit of diesel over the 3 day trip as we were on a deadline again.

AAAAHHH it's only money.

Still it was worth it as we got to have dinner with Dylan, Miriam and Mark and then they Slept over on Windwalker.

Now I need to fix the Starboard engine water leak, that we played musical bilge pumps(Update ALL FIXED) with all the way from Current Cut and put on a new radio antenna section before we head for Guatemala in a week.  And MORE IMPORTANTLY buy some more lures.
