We are pretty busy finalising
every last job and detail to cast off from the security of the dock.
We sell Subie this week (if she sells) and head off within 10 days,
if all goes to plan.
We are the last of all of our new friends
here to leave of course. We are going to miss it here but not
for too long I suspect. The nights are really cold now so it is
time to move.
I mean who retires to cold weather!!!
We
have met some new cruisers lately and Dylan would be proud of us as
we have helped out quite a few. The best story though is the
couple we helped out when they lost their propeller and it was a
single engine catamaran so they were dead in the water. We had
a spare propeller that just happened to fit. They were grateful
for the help so came on board for a drink when it was all fitted.
They left around 11.15pm to go back to their boat that was up on the hard stand (out
of the water for the repair).
Well when they got back they heard a
noise from inside their boat so crept in with torch/flashlight and a
machette (as you would we are in America). To their surprise
they found a young couple going for it in their bed. It seems
they got a little drunk and lottle lucky at the bar and came looking
for a spot to do the wild thing. Ahhhh ONLY IN America!!!!
Needless to say this won't happen to us we have a very
effective watch dog. Then again she probably would have joined
them and they just might have liked that too :)
Any way we are
around internet for about 1 week to 10 days so if you want to skype
us now is the time OK.
