having a rest but,..yes,still working! Well,Tony fell down into the engine room yesterday,so I've been rubbing him down with Arnica.A wooden leg would be easier.Today, I hoisted him up the mast and he got cramp!knocked the wind indicator off and dropped the boom, which nearly decapitated me.
'Life, life is so hard living on the hard in the boatyard' ,Eileen Quinn sang that and it sums this time up succinctly.
However, went out with our about 8 of our cruiser friends on  Wednesday night to Doney's for a papas locas, yum, yum! Then to get some beers, omn the way back there was a street dance organised by the government to work off the burrito bottom,so I joined in and really found it hard to keep up.Still did better than the boys.
It's great to work alongside people who share the same passion,we help each other and support each other and then kill a tequila together Ole'
Last night hardly slept as a halyard (rope from the mast) was flogging on the mast but we had to wait till morning to sort it,that's when the captain got cramp.
The good news is that the mast is now stepped back on and we're getting nearer to launch day.
I'm planning for early next week, then wash down day for Windstrutter and couple of days to victual then off towards La Paz.
Now booked our launch for Thursday, hopefully the winds will abate whilst we put our 30 tons yacht in the briny!
Have to go back up the mizzen mast (we've been up at least 3 times already) to take down our anemometer (wind indicator), as it's been broken again! More glue...
Busy shopping,my feet are like rocks! trying to ask for wood clamps, brackets, glue and boat stuff in Spanish is fun,FYI the first is 'pressa para madera con tornillos' quite useful don't you think.
Shopping is easy here, I generally go to  a local supermarket next to an indoor market, near an open market. Problem is I forget that I have to walk back. The other problem is that you have to sometimes search through all the Chinese junk that you find everywhere.
Bear and Terri, on Wind Swan, came over for dinner.I'd bought some lovely fish and made a risotto. The fish cost $30 pesos / 1.50.I cooked it in ginger ,lime and garlic.yum,yum.They brought the Margarita mix and all went down well.Local strawberries for dessert too.Tequilla!

So...with fair winds all our friends here ..(Mollyhock,Salty,Wind Swan)  and Hasta luego to
Jake,Isabel,Russ, Mary Faith, Terry and Gary,Caleb ( La Querncia)and all those we meet along the way..
