Between kayaking and finding more hot springs,we´ve had windy weather. Our friends Isabel and Russ ,plus baby mary faith came to visit, however, forecasts of more wind (from the north) and Isabels natural concern hoiking a 3 month old baby on and off the boat they stayed three days and then after taking me to the Mission in Mulege, departed for home in Bahia Tortugas (on the western coast of Baja).
Tony keeps impressing how much people we know would love this place, particularly his kids.(´`hi`´Max,Zoe and Alicia from your dad x).
The pristine sea and raw ruggedness of the desert is incredibly beautiful.
Tony tried to harpoon some trigger fish ,but the harpoon bounced oof! There has been an incredible bright orange bio-phosphorescence around )probably fed by the rain two weeks ago) and at night the the fish can be seen and heard around the whole boat.Hundreds of them .And the pelicans bomb dive to capture them, sometimes missing and hitting their larger than need be beaks on the boat (it´s ferrous -cement!).
When Isabel and Russ were here we had fantastic meals and a lot of fun.Isabel cooked up an amazing dish of pozole (a corn stew, with chicken). She brought with her scallops from the San ignacio lagoon (they fed on whale pooh, she said),what a treat.
We plan to sail back to Guaymas in a week or two and maybe take the Copper Canyon train to Chihuahua.
