Wet Pants
I expected today to be a write off. TV weather forecast had upgraded the storm to Tropical Storm Signal 1. Not the worst storm but the winds were fiercely intense. I was planning to visit Guimaras Island but had to shelf it for tomorrow if weather permits. It may be a write off but at least it was a great write day for my diary entries. The only available free wifi access was at Robinsons Mall which I spent hours after lunch sucking on cold coffee while surfing the uber slow wifi. My pre-brought rain coat paid off its dividends but it only covered down to my waist. As you can imagine, I was soaked through my pants. Everyone in the mall seemed dry though.

Better Oysters
Went out of my way to have a nice dinner at Butot Balot with oysters entree (more like a main - a mountain of oysters on a plate!) and a grilled mixed seafood main. The oysters were way better than the ones I had at Roxas City. The fresh mango shake washed it down perfectly. I was wasiting for the rain to ease a little before crossing the street for a jeepney to SM City Iloilo when I met Lillian, a local salesgirl from Marymart Centre Shopping Mall. The jeepneys were always full so we met some of her friends at Robinsons Mall and shared a taxi instead.
