It was an early check out of Nine Noi's Place (what a ripoff!) to check in at Vieng Vilay Guesthouse at the heart of town. For US$4 a night, this was no brainer but this was no sanctuary from the partygoers. By 10am I was on an inflated tractor tube floating into the deep of a water cave 10km from Vang Vieng. That was quite an experience. Unfortunately no photos to show of this event as it was an aquatic activity but you can imagine the scenic backdrop of limestone mountains where the cave was.

Shortly after lunch, I was kayaking down Nam Song river immersed in the beauty of Vang Vieng's mountainous formations. This river package also included a stop at one of the swing bars for abit of fun on the tarzan swing drops. The drop was at least 3 storeys high and I must had swallowed a pint of Nam Song river when fallen butt on. I decided enough is enough when my bum kept receiving the biggest impact. In my group, a young chinese chap who was cycling the entire Southeast Asia for six months - kind of got addicted to the adrenaline from the swing bars - he kept returning for more. With him, were another two cycling travellers (buttpackers - haha) from Hungary - talking about sore arses! I might be getting some photos of me on the swings from the chinese chap when he eventually cycles home to China in April. His route? He started in Malacca, up to Thailand, into Laos, down to Cambodia, loop around Tonle Sap lake, enter Ho Chi Minh City via Mekong Delta and up north to Hanoi before entering Yunan, south of China. How adventurous! I might just do that one day.

The rest of the kayaking back to Vang Vieng was a breeze. Back in town, if you are not deadbeat from the swing bars, you would be out at Don Khang drowning what is left of your livers. Don Khang was out for me, I got an early bus to catch to Vientiane tomorrow.
