Arrived in germany on the 21st at appröxamatly 1pm into the mighty city of munchen. fluffed around for a bit but then setteled into our hotel before shooting out to see the sights. first up was the deutch museum, this was by far my favorit museum, it was full of old bouts, steam engins, forgeing equipment, planes, engineering machines, nano technolgy and all sorts of other crazy stuff. we only had 2 and a half hours which was no where near enough time there, so can bang that on the go back to list. once we left there we headed to the beer halls, we arrived and the place was packed!! took us three laps to find a spot to sit  ( you just just find a spot on a table with heaps of people on it already) when we finaly lined a seat it was on a table with four choice germans, dominic, julia, stephy and august. these guys realy took us under there wing, after yarning up a storm and finishing our litre of beer each we jumped in a couple of mercadees and rolled with them to augusts bosses shindig realy had a great time. said godbye to our german mates there and headed back to the hotel for a snooze.

Next morning we got up and killed a buffet breakfast, we'd paid a wee bit extra for this hotel and were going to make sure that we made our moneis worth. willy even got up and asked for more bacon, we really nailed them. :) we had the morning to explore munich so didn't muck around and hit the city hard. there wasn't really any great sites for us to see in the city so we headed to the old quarter and wandered around. there was heaps of people milling around all dressed up in their sports gear because the munich soccer team was playing, the atmosphere on the streets were choice, dave you would have loved it, chahooing all round. we actually ended up in a BMW expo trying to look our finest while schemoozing with germanys finest. Cobs nabbed a photo in a beemer bobsled then we headed on. that was actually it for us, we made our way back to the hotel, grabbed our bags and boarded a train. turned out this was a bit more popular than expected and a large number of seats were reserved, we got ousted from a number of spots we tried to sit in. In the end cobs guarded the gear in the passage way while i scouted the train, i found a spot and grabbed it for us. when the train strated moving cobs brought the gear down and we settled in but every time a person walked past we'd nervously look up hoping they'd walk right by.

that brings us to the next and really final part of our story because the train we were on was bound for Lauda, a small town in the middle of germany. on arrival we met bruce williamsn who was going to put us up for a while. he took us home and we met the family, Ursula and Sophie who really welcomed us in. we pretty much sat down strait away to a choice feed of salmon on beens and a salad, devine!! then after a quick yarn it was off to bed for the crew, Bruce is a bread man so has to be up at 3 to deliver bread.

thankfully we didn't need to be up at three so had a wee sleep in then got up and learnt a new board game, Carcasone, sophie and her friend Julia taught us how to play. we had a kinda brunch thing since it was sunday and let me tell you, the bread over here is out of this world, its great. we really got into it. that afternoon we went to see the porshe meuseum, peds this was your domain brother, it was choice. even got us a photo in one, what an afternoon. and to top it off Ursula cooked us another amazing feed which was snitzel and spatsula (noodles), again it was awesome!!

our second day with the family was just as good as the first. bruce took us for a wander around the local village and to see the kurhous(a place where all the supposedly sick go) and we got to see a real choice side of germany. then in the afternoon it was off for a road trip to one of the german must see sights. there is this little town that still has all the walls intact and looks real cool so we headed up there for the arvo. we got these dough balls things called snowballs which are real traditional and pretty much just wandered around the sights. then for tea we popped into this other town called würzburg. there was a bit of the family there so for tea we had Bruce, Ursula, Sophie, Sabastian, Deborah, Chritie and David pluss us. had a mean feed in an irish pub before heading home.

and that really brings us to today. we are just chilling with the fam and having a ball. tonight our plane departs so we're getting ourselves all prepped. the bags are packed, our plans are all set and i'm getting really excited about flying. its gonna be choice!

this is pretty much going to be the last entry from overseas so is the end of a 7 week era, its been great.

over and out
