I hear the traffic can be brutal, just like US beach traffic. I leave at 9 to avoid it. I go to the wrong terminal (there are 3 different ones) then the wrong ticket counter. Good luck! My attempts to get bus maps and schedules failed. They apparently do not believe in these. Finally I am off to Casaveiras. It is a beach in the North which is most popular (crowded). For people watching that can be fun. It makes for an easy day trip with lots of buses going there. The beaches are packed with families. For lunch I have an entire spit roasted chicken (no partial chickens). I am amazed at how much there is going on. The lack of info in the tour guides and online implies a small, non-commercial town. It is substantial with many hotels and restaurants.

I walk a couple of miles to the beach of Jurere which is not crowded. I have a couple of beers and watch sail boats go by.

I go to a bus stop and board the next one, not sure if it is going to the right place. Once getting outside the four or so hub cities, there is little or no choice. It goes to another hub where I can get on the right bus.

I go for a pizza place, Pappadilla. It is excellent with lots of choices. Pepperoni on pizza here is more like bologna. It is not cooked thoroughly. I order one for 2 people and finish it. I strike out on clubs again. I just can't figure it out.
