Palma, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands

I go to the Palma city center (20 minutes by bus). The historic area is OK. Cathedral is beautiful and there is a Moorish castle. Most of the city lacks character. So, this is pretty much a beach island although I understand there are some nice hikes in its more remote hills.
A late afternoon at the beach back in Playa de Palma. It is so nice to have warm weather with sun. Quite a contrast from Scandinavia. This is an area full of German tourists. Mostly Spring break atmosphere. Apparently it is dominated by package deals. I have seen very few other nationalities here. As an indication, at the airport, Air Berlin dominated the airlines (even though this is Spain it is not Iberia or SpanAir).
