The Titanic story
The Titanic was first constructed in 1909 and completed in 1911.It took The Titanic two hours and forty minutes to sink,after hitting the Iceberg at 11:40pm on the night of April 14 1912.

After the iceberg was spotted by lookouts, warnings were sent to the bridge, and an attempt to turn and reverse The Titanic went wrong, ending in a collision between the right side of the ship and the iceberg. There were 2228 people on board of The Titanic, 337 in first class, 285 second class, 721 in third class and 885 crew members.Of the 2,228 passengers and crew members who set sail, only 705 Titanic passengers survived.
The captain of the The Titanic was Edward John Smith and was 62years of age,Smith was married Eleanor and they had a young daughter Helen Meville.
